How to Become the Most Stylish Girl in School

By: Glitzyworld

The one of best time of life is student life time. High school is a time in your life you will never forget. You go through many experiences and get introduced to the adult world. Everyone knows education is a key factor to success in life. However, this doesn't mean that high school has to be a boring experience. We all know that becoming a teenager and going to high school means that you'll become more aware of how you look. You can make your life interesting and fun by putting together attractive outfits, establishing a fashionable reputation, and thinking about how to reflect your personality through your style.
Make your own style. Combine clothes that nobody has before. Your own style says who you are.

Show confidence when you wear your clothes; don't be ashamed of your appearance.

Being original requires attitude. If you don't have the self-confidence to stand up to your fashion choices, you'll begin to water it down until you look like anybody else.
Be open minded about trying new things.

Fashion is a vicious cycle. What's in the thrift store today will be on the runway tomorrow, so think twice if you have clothes you like and are only considering giving away because they aren't 'fashionable'. Style is personal and doesn't fluctuate the same way that fashion does.

Purchase small accessories that will match your new outfits.

If someone has something you like don't copy it exactly, find something you like that looks similar so that they won't think you are a style-stealer.

Remember ..... Don't copy others' styles directly or completely. Be inspired by others, but make their ideas your own.

Fashion Guide for Women in their 30s

For women in their 30s, having a good sense of style is very important. For many of us, this is a time when our careers are taking off, we have more purchasing power than ever before, and we're at least flirting with the idea of settling down. This naturally leads to smarter, somewhat more sophisticated choices when it comes to fashion.
Most women in their 30s have a hard time pulling off the 20-something trends we loved so much during our college days. And why should we try? We're in a new phase of our life, so our clothes should be right there with us. Of course, most of us would still like to achieve some sense of glamour -- we do want to look fabulous when joining our friends for a night out. So, what's a 30-something girl to do? Simple -- step into the beautiful world of grown-up style. (Source: tlc.howstuffworks)

Professional Looks in Your 30s

For some of us, knowing what to wear to work can be challenging, but it doesn't have to be. One tried and true technique that applies to almost any professional setting is to start with a well-made, great fitting suit. To keep it from becoming dated too quickly, opt for classic styling in a neutral color. Add to that a few quality shirts and a well-made pair or two of shoes. Most women look great in classic pumps, but ballet flats and wedges work too. Just remember that when it comes to footwear, shoes for the office should lean toward simple and subdued.
The skirt or pants of your suit can be mixed and matched with sweater sets, button-down shirts or colorful blouses. Camisoles work well under suit jackets in all but the most conservative offices -- just be sure they're not too low-cut. No matter how killer your cleavage, the office just isn't the place to showcase it. Next, consider purchasing a few dresses to keep things interesting. Knee-length styles in neutral colors and muted patterns work best and remember that a three-quarter-sleeve wrap dress will flatter pretty much any body shape. As for fabrics, of course the classics -- wool, cotton and cashmere -- work well in a professional setting but you can also wear silk, knits and corduroy. Above all, make sure your clothing is clean and wrinkle-free. A dirty, wrinkled wardrobe practically screams slacker.
Once you have the basics covered, it's time to think accessories. Here's where you can have a little fun -- almost anything goes for the office, including gold, silver, pearls, gemstones, and more earthy materials such as turquoise and leather. The key is to keep from going over the top. In other words, you want your ideas - not your bangles - to mark your presence in the office. (Source: tlc.howstuffworks)

Casual Looks in Your 30s

When it comes to casual fashions, there are far fewer rules than with professional looks. In fact, some long-accepted fashion conventions have recently been debunked by leading fashion experts. It's now OK to wear white after Labor Day, mix prints, and combine silver and gold jewelry. But this doesn't mean that all of fashion's commandments have gone out the window -- Thou shall not wear stirrup pants unless you're riding a horse.
For 30-something gals, the one rule you should steadfastly follow is: Fit is everything. You can invest a fortune in designer duds, but they'll look cheap if they're ill fitting. Likewise, you can make an inexpensive garment look like a million bucks by having it altered to fit you perfectly. Besides making friends with a good tailor, follow these shopping tips to make the most of your body type:
Hide a tummy with a structured jacket and trousers with a wide waistband.
Minimize wide hips by wearing jeans and trousers with wider leg openings.
Create curves by pairing a ruffled shirt with a pencil skirt or skinny jeans.
Denim is the quintessential American fabric that looks great on women of all ages. But buying jeans for our 30-something bodies may take time and a bit of patience to find the right pair. Remember that the rise and cut of your jeans determine the overall shape. A lower rise is universally flattering, but be sure to fit the widest part of your body and then tailor down. Otherwise, you'll end up with a "muffin top." For more on finding the right jeans, check out these denim fit and find guides.
Going casual typically means you don't have to work very hard, which is great for women on the go. But why not take a moment for finishing touches before you head out the door. Pop on a pair of earrings, give your lips a swipe of gloss and grab a bright-colored bag. Whether you're headed to the park, the movies or the grocery store, you'll feel better knowing you look great.(Source: tlc.howstuffworks)

Evening Looks in Your 30s

Evening looks, no matter what your age, really depend on the event and the company you'll be keeping. Dinner and drinks with your college roommates calls for an entirely different look than say an evening of salsa dancing with your hot new boyfriend.
And a night on the town is still the perfect occasion to choose racier items, such as animal prints or a sheer blouse with just enough lace work to keep you from being arrested. But be careful not to overdo it. The head-to-toe vixen look might be OK for a 26-year-old, but the look can be less appealing on a 36-year-old.
For women in their 30s, it's really about balancing sophistication with sexiness. As the saying goes, sometimes less is more. If the top you're wearing shows off a little décolleté, skip the miniskirt and go for a pair of wide-legged trousers. If you want to show a little leg, make sure everything's covered up on top. And don't worry, looking sophisticated doesn't have to mean looking old. If you're wearing a formal gown, keep your lush locks down. Or finish a sleek, sophisticated ensemble with a fun, flirty ponytail. In other words, try pairing something youthful with your grown-up look.
When it comes to accessories for an evening out, the only way to get it wrong is to forget about them. Of course, that doesn't mean you should load yourself down with sparkles, but one perfect piece -- a great pair of earrings, a statement necklace or a funky cuff -- can really complete your look. And try to keep things in harmony. Balance sturdy fabrics with bold accessories, but keep it dainty for anything whispery like silk or chiffon.(Source: tlc.howstuffworks)

Hair and Makeup in Your 30s

As much as we might not want to face it, some unfortunate events begin to occur in our 30s, sometimes even earlier. The process of aging includes a steady slope toward dry, wrinkled and sagging skin. What's more, your complexion might not be as even as it once was. Luckily, there are methods of slowing the process, such as being fastidious about moisturizing and keeping sun exposure to a minimum. And if you smoke -- stop immediately; according to the Mayo Clinic, aside from UV radiation, nothing accelerates the aging process faster than smoking cigarettes.
You'll want to adapt your makeup regimen to compliment your changing skin. For example, don't over-powder your skin as you may have done during your oilier 20-something years. Powder settles in the creases of your skin, emphasizing crow's feet and laugh lines. It's also best to avoid frosted products and heavy shimmer, they'll just highlight any imperfections you may have.
As for hair, if you're getting a few grays and don't like the look of them, it's nothing a quick trip to the salon can't fix. Just be sure to stay on top of those salon appointments -- exposed roots can age you faster than an ill-fitting, high-waisted pair of "mom jeans."
Women in their teens and 20s sometimes shy away from wearing their hair up in favor of long flowing locks. This look is still perfectly acceptable in your 30s and beyond, provided your hair is healthy. But there is no reason to fear the updo. Try an asymmetrical chignon or a French twist. Just be sure to pair it with wispy strays and/or side-swept bangs. These looks are elegant and sexy, and the tousled touches offer a youthful twist.(Source: tlc.howstuffworks)

How To Pluck Perfect Eyebrows

Shaping Tips From A Brow Expert
Strong, full eyebrows are having their moment and framed many models’ faces on spring runways like Alexander Wang, Jason Wu, and Marc Jacobs. (Article by: huffingtonpost )

We went to brow expert Nathalie Smith, Co-Founder of MYNC Beauty lash lounge and brow bar in Toronto to get her tips on achieving fuller, beautifully-groomed brows.

Why are well-groomed brows so important?
'The eyes are the first place that everyone looks. The eyebrows frame your eyes and face, so achieving balance is key. How your brows are shaped can actually change your appearance. Think Madonna and her ever-changing brows, to match her ever-changing persona. Brows that are either too thick or too thin will take centre stage, strengthening expressions such as anger or surprise. When shaped properly they bring out the eyes, make the face more youthful, and brighten the face as well. When you’ve got great brows, you simply don’t need a lot of makeup!'

Which celebrities and style icons would you say have influenced the trend for fuller and thicker brows?
'There are so many, but Camilla Belle, Megan Fox, Cara Delevingne and Kim Kardashian are by far the ones most commonly referenced by our Brow Bar clients for their trademark full brows.'

What not to do: famously overpruned eyebrows!
What are some at-home tips readers should know and do, when grooming and maintaining their own brows at home?
'Always plan before you tweeze. Create your ideal brow shape first with powder and concealer, then take only the hairs that are “negative” to the design.

Tweeze only one hair at a time. Minor changes make huge differences in the brow area. Step back from the mirror every few hairs to regain perspective, viewing your brows in the context of your entire face.

Since fuller brows are the trend, I caution against trimming. Overzealous trimming is the most common cause of gaps in the brow line that we see in our clients. Instead, use a brow pomade or clear mascara swept onto hairs upwards and in the direction of growth to tame and naturally define brows.

Use a brow powder that matches the base colour of your hair, not pencil to fill in sparse areas and define the brows. Pencils contain wax that adhere to the skin and can look fake and obvious.'

Is there any major step in grooming brows that should ideally be left to the pros?
'Your brows should be shaped according to your particular, face, eyes and bone structure, which is ideally entrusted to a highly trained brow stylist who can view your face objectively. Once a professional has shaped your brows, then maintenance becomes easier. Examine your brows once a week and tweeze only the strays that have grown back, so that there’s never any need to undertake a major excavation yourself.'

What are some key products and tools readers should have at home for grooming?
'It’s super simple. Good tweezers. I recommend the Tweezerman slanted edge, which is easier to use for a non-professional, a dual ended eyelash comb/eyebrow brush, and good natural lighting.'

That’s the thick and thin of it!

Top 30 Beauty Tips Everyone Should Know

What are some of the easiest and most useful beauty tips out there? We've compiled a list of our top 30 bits of advice. From dealing with ingrown hairs to keeping highlights in your hair, these bites of info will help you build a better beauty foundation so you can put your best face forward on a daily basis.

Eye Cream Is Great For Cuticles
Instead of spending money on cuticle cream, you can use extra-moisturizing and hydrating eye cream to cure dry cuticles.

Stop Your Hair Colour From Fading
If you've just had your hair dyed, the last thing you want is for the colour to fade. One surefire way to prevent such a mishap from happening? Use a deep-conditioning treatment once a month. This will help lock in colour and has the added benefit of staving off dry and damaged locks.

Avoid Overly Rosy Cheeks
Giving yourself a natural glow avec blush is an in look for spring. But you'll want to avoid brushing on too much (lest you look like a clown). So always start your blush line two finger widths away from your nose and only apply it on the apples of your cheeks. This will ensure you create a natural glow without going overboard.

Give Curls Bounce
Never brush curls out with a brush. Instead, loosen them with your fingers. This will give curls added lift without flattening them down.

Add Oomph To Cheekbones
To make your cheekbones appear higher and to give them more structure, apply bronzer directly under the cheekbone. You can also add highlighter to the cheekbone itself (under a thin layer of blush).

Give Hair Lift
Before you start blow drying your hair, add a volumizing spray to your roots. This will give your locks some added lift.

Create Fuller Lips
If you're sick of having thin, pursed puckers, extend your lip line using a neutral-toned lip liner. Then apply lipstick over top. Be careful though -- don't extend your lip line too much.

Nix Flaky Mascara
One of the main reasons mascara will flake onto your face after you apply it is because it's old. Opt for a new container and always remember to keep your mascara tube tightly sealed.

Dry Out Pimples
Believe it or not, dabbing toothpaste onto a pimple is a quick and easy way to dry it out.

Don't Believe Beauty Labels
Some beauty labels actually display false information, so don't believe everything you read. If a product promises instant results or all-day protection, it may be too good to be true.

Banish Oil
The fastest way to clear your skin of any oily breakout, especially in the summer, is to use blotting papers. They'll clean up the excess oil on your epidermis and will prevent breakouts.

Use Oil On Your Skin.. Even If It's Already Oily
This probably sounds crazy, but using an oil-based product to remove makeup or excess dirt from your skin can actually improve your epidermis' condition. Why? Over-cleaning stimulates the sebum glands, which causes skin to over-produce oil. Using oil-based products will have the opposite effect.

You Can Use Exfoliator Daily
Exfoliation is an important and easy way to buff away the dead skin cells that cover up your skin's natural glow. Use a light exfoliator, like the Daily Microfoliant from Dermalogica, to freshen your face daily.

If You Have Greasy Hair...
Avoid applying conditioner directly to your hair's roots -- just apply the heavy moisturizing cream to your locks' ends.

Clean Your Makeup Tools
Whether you use a razor, a Q-tip or a powder brush, make sure to clean your beauty tools. After even a couple uses, they become breeding grounds for bacteria, which can cause breakouts, eczema and many other skin conditions.

Remove Nail Polish Without Remover
If you run out of nail polish remover, you can remove cracked or chipped nail polish by applying a clear top coat to the nail and removing it promptly with a cotton ball.

Change It Up
Our skin craves different things depending on the time of year. So change up your beauty routine based on the seasons. In the winter, add more moisturizing creams to your daily beauty list. In summer, ensure you're using lots of SPF.

Apply Bronzer Evenly
Before applying bronzer or self-tanning lotion, mix a drop or two of the solution with moisture cream. Blend using your finger or a Q-tip then apply to skin as you would regular moisturizer. This will ensure the cream blends in -- and covers skin -- evenly.

Hide Split Ends
To make split ends less noticeable, apply a heavy hair repair cream to lock in moisture before and after using a flat iron or a blow-dryer.

Lock It In
When using cream-based beauty products -- like lipstick or foundation -- apply a dry face powder on top to seal in your look. This also works for blush (apply a cream blush to cheeks, then top with a dry blush).

Find Your Shade
When choosing a foundation, test a product on the skin near your jawline. And be sure to do it in natural light. This will ensure the foundation tone you choose for your face isn't too different from the natural shade of your neck.

Stop Taking Supplements
It's true the healthier you are, the healthier your skin and hair will be. But popping supplements without discussing them with your doctor can do more harm than good. Why? Because mixing certain vitamins and minerals can have the opposite effect of what you're hoping. Talk to your doc before popping any pills.

Using Eyeshadow Primer
Primer is a great tool that will help you lock your makeup look in place. But adding too much of it on areas of your face where you won't actually apply colour will actually detract from the look you're going for (mostly because primers are brighter in tone than most makeup shades).

Apply Mascara To Fake Lashes
This will help fake lashes blend in a bit more seamlessly with your natural ones.

Clarify Your Hair
In order to remove product build-up from locks, use a clarifying shampoo once a week. This will also help prevent dandruff and other annoying hair/scalp conditions.

Cut Back On Pedicures
Save money on your beauty routine by taking care of your feet on a daily basis. Simply scrub your foot with a pumice stone each morning in the shower. Once you step out and dry off, apply a moisture cream to your feet. This will increase the amount of time you can go without a pedicure and will keep your toes healthy and fungus-free.

Replace Old Products Regularly
The effectiveness of products -- not to mention the amount of bacteria they breed -- wares after only a few months. Ditch old items and replace them with new ones.

Treat Ingrown Hairs
Apply a product containing azulene or witch hazel to help reduce the swelling and redness that's associated with ingrown hairs. From there, coax the ingrown hair from its location with a pair of tweezers (don't pull it out, though -- this will only make the ingrown hair regrow in in the same way later).

Nix Post-Shaving Redness
Shave your face, legs or underarms in the shower after standing under warm water for a few minutes. This will help open up hair follicles and will soften hairs so they're less coarse to shave.

Soften Skin
Immediately after stepping out of a shower, pool or lake/ocean, apply some sort of cream to skin. Water washes away the skin's natural oils and applying moisture cream will prevent skin chapping.
